Well, while Chelsea Kelsey has been sunning himself in sunny Spain last week, work has not stopped. OH NO! "25 Floors" is now receiving its final tweaks and fiddling and is sounding like an absolute gem of a masterpiece. Hopefully we will be able to take it for a little test drive around town on Saturday night at Duckie... SCREAM! I am off to meet Chelsea Kelsey in just a moment for a Sex In The City style brunch lunch catch up.... YAY!

We have been doing quite a few DJing gigs recently too. We did one party and guess who was there? Angie Bowie! She is the loudest woman in rock wife history. You could hear her raspy voice above the music all night yakking away to Tallulah and Princess Julia. Oh and we got to meet Fiona Russell Powell who I absolutely ADORE, she is so WACKY I fell in love instantly. I don’t remember so much about the night except being collapsed on a sofa with her while she pulled numerous belts out of her massive handbag which she modelled for me, while I gave each one marks out of ten!

Off to meet Chelsea now... Oops a bit late too! The things I do for you guys!

Hey everybody, back again hard at it.

Wifes back in the studio, energy higher than Evelyn Thomas...ON POPPERS! Tentative date for the album release September... 2006! SCREAM!.... FAINT!! Yus my dears, the plan is to release Gaslight at the beginning of September with all of us having blocked our diaries until then, everybody is quite excited.. .for us I think it's the prospect of FINALLY having a clear stretch ahead of us without the interruption of holidays, Christmas, the weather being too hot, or Celebrity Ice Dancing as a distraction/deterrent.

There is quite a lot of work to be done as we have to re-do some of the material that was lost during the COMPUTER CRASH of 2005, and lots of new stuff that needs finishing, which is very exciting and we have YET ANOTHER collaboration in the pipeline, I KNOW we are like...

It is a funny thing working on an album as opposed to a single, by the time you get toward having all of the tracks finished you kind of want to go back and fiddle with the tracks that you finished first, if you see what I mean, so we have to be quite strict on that front, otherwise we may as well re-name the album The Clifton Bridge Sessions, release it for a day and then withdraw it, like what Kraftwerk did with Musique Non Stop, the nutcases!

On the DJ front we have a couple of nice things in the pipeline, one of which is frighteningly exciting and involves one of the most terrifying women in pop... who could THAT be now?

News Well hello again everybody, here we are in February 2006! SCREAM! I won’t even bother apologising for the lack of posts over the last oh... how many months?

But let’s just say that after the MOST disruptive period of ALL OF OUR LIVES, we are finally settling back into some sort of groove. While we have been away your WIfes have been locked up in the studio with none other than Sir RICK WAKEMAN, and our new 14 disc BOX SET is almost ready to hit the shops. Eeek! ...AS IF ! Could you just imagine? Actually the more I type the more that it doesn’t seem such a ridiculous idea, or have I just been watching too much Celebrity Ice Dancing on ITV... GO BONNIE, GO!

In actual fact we have been doing a lot of, erhm , going out, staying in, and something in between which has whipped us up into such a frenzy of inspir/frust/ration that we have finally gotten our collective acts back into THE STUDIO. We had a bit of a technical meltdown just before Christmas, when poor Jez thought he had lost EVERYTHING that we had done! How we all laughed! But hooray, he has managed to salvage ALMOST everything that we hadn’t backed up, phew.

So as of now, your good lady WIFES are BACK, BACK... BACK IN YOUR ARMS AGAIN. And, of course there is the ATOMIZER VS READERS WIFES 12" of NOSTALGIA in your record stores right now, and from what we hear it's getting a good old airing at Crash, AM, and Trade’s… YIKE-A-RELLA! Watch this space... NO, REALLY...
